Two teenage girls to compete in UVIC Basketball tournament

We live 12 hours away from Vancouver BC in Nuxalk Nation (Bella Coola). We have 2 girls from 2 different families that were asked to play at The Vancouver Island Indigenous Basketball Tournament (VIIBT) at the University of Victoria (UVic) from June 5–7, 2026, but we will have to travel a day before to get to the island, so the 4th we would arrive. The money would be used for gas ($600 each x2 vehicles to and from Victoria), hotel for 3 nights x2 rooms at $1,200, and ferry x2 vehicles at $560 to Victoria and back to Vancouver.

Two teenage boys to compete in Arizona Basketball tournament

2 of my boys need funds to travel from Nuxalk Nation (Bella Coola) to play basketball at The Grand Natty's (Native American Junior Nationals) in Mesa, Arizona June 24–29 with a couple Navajo teams. It's the largest Indigenous basketball tournament. We usually pay for everything but this time we are short on funds.

Pacheedaht Youth Basketball Team

Support the U16/U17 Pacheedaht youth basketball team (16 youth in total) participate in the UVIC Indigenous Basketball Tournament. Funds will go to ensuring each player has proper footwear, clothing for practice and the tournament as well help cover transportation and fuel costs. Currently Pacheedaht does not have any after-school activities available for youth and community sports play an important role in keeping kids connected to each other, culture and positive role models.
