For decades, the story of reconciliation funding in Canada has followed the same arc. Money flows through government structures. Applications are complex. Approval processes are one-sided. And by the time resources reach the Indigenous youth and families they were intended for โ if they reach them at all โ the moment has passed, the season is over, or the opportunity is gone.
Meanwhile, over 80% of non-Indigenous Canadians say they want to participate in reconciliation but don't know how. The will is there. The mechanism isn't.
We built Bridge to change that.
BRIDGE is an online platform that connects people who want to act on reconciliation with Indigenous youth-led projects that need funding โ in under 5 minutes.
No complex applications. No committees deciding who deserves support. Funders browse real campaigns posted by real Indigenous youth and families, choose the project that speaks to them, and contribute directly. Youth post their project by texting the word BRIDGE to (250) 999-1745 and answering five simple questions. That's it.
From intention to impact in under 5 minutes.
BRIDGE is now live at bridgeimpact.ai, and we are sharing it publicly for the first time.
We want to be honest with you about what that means. This is a testing phase. The platform is real, the campaigns are real, and the funding is real โ but we are a small team in the early stages of building something we believe can fundamentally shift how reconciliation happens in this country. Right now there are just a few campaigns live as we work through the process of onboarding youth and communities in a way that is safe, supported, and on their terms.
Since launching, we have distributed over $7,100 across 30 projects, funding 35 Indigenous youth directly. Those are real kids who got to go to tournaments, make art, and connect with their culture because someone chose to act.
We're proud of that. And we know we're just getting started.
Bridge is built by Remarkable Communications โ a national Indigenous-centred digital storytelling, strategy, and technology agency. Since 2019, we have co-launched thousands of culturally safe communication and technology projects for Indigenous Nations, organizations, and leaders โ including co-raising over $120,000 for land back initiatives.
We are guided by and accountable to an all-Indigenous advisory board. Every decision about how this platform works, who it serves, and how data is handled is made with Indigenous sovereignty at the centre. BRIDGE is not a charity project built about Indigenous people. It is a technology platform built in collaboration with Indigenous communities, for Indigenous communities โ and for the Canadians who are ready to move beyond good intentions.
Beta means we're still learning. We want to hear from you โ whether you're a funder, a community member, a youth thinking about posting a project, or an organization that works with Indigenous youth.
What works? What's missing? What would make this more useful, more accessible, or more trustworthy for your community?
You can reach us directly on our website bridgeimpact.ai โ click the Join The Movement page to send us your feedback.
If you're an Indigenous youth with a project that needs funding, text BRIDGE to (250) 999-1745 right now. It takes five minutes and there are people ready to support you.
We are actively onboarding new campaigns, growing our funder community, and continuing to develop the platform based on what we hear from the people using it. We believe Bridge can become the infrastructure layer for reconciliation action in Canada โ a place where good intentions become direct investment, consistently and at scale.
But right now, in this moment, we just want to fund the next kid's dream.
Come be part of that.
