We're looking for our founding community โ€” will you help shape BRIDGE?

BRIDGE is live. Campaigns are being funded. Indigenous youth are getting to tournaments, making art, and connecting with their culture because people chose to act.

Now we're ready for the next step โ€” and we can't do it without the right people around us.

We are looking for our founding community partners: organizations, Nations, and leaders who want to be part of building this platform properly, together, from the inside.

What we're asking

We're not asking for much upfront. We're asking for belief โ€” and a low-commitment first step that signals your interest in participating in something designed to benefit your community directly.

Specifically, we are looking for two things.

A letter of support.

A letter of support from your organization will be instrumental in securing the funding BRIDGE needs for continued development and for compensated community consultation.

This is not a financial commitment. It is a signal that your organization sees value in what we're building and wants to be part of shaping it. Letters of support from community partners directly strengthen our grant applications and help us unlock the resources to do this right.

Pilot program participation.

We want you to be one of our first community pilot partners. Our intention is to build this partnership properly โ€” together โ€” which means we are not asking communities to volunteer their time and knowledge without compensation. Here is what pilot partnership looks like in practice:

Paid Leadership Circle โ€” community and organizational leaders who provide direction on what we're building, shaping the platform's priorities, features, and values from the ground up

Employed Indigenous youth โ€” paid positions to help test the app for accessibility and usability, making sure BRIDGE actually works for the people it's built for

Honorariums for Knowledge and Language Holders โ€” for those who contribute to culturally grounded design, ensuring BRIDGE reflects Indigenous ways of knowing and being โ€” not just Indigenous content wrapped in a Western tech product

How we do this right

We are committed to ensuring BRIDGE is culturally safe, community-led, and done in a good way.

That commitment isn't a value statement on a slide deck. It's built into the structure of the platform. We have built in the following safeguards, and we require community consultation, direction, consent, and approvals to move forward:

Cultural safety โ€” every design and content decision is reviewed through a cultural safety lens

Youth safety online โ€” we have protocols in place to protect young people posting on the platform

Indigenous data sovereignty โ€” community data stays in community hands, grounded in OCAP principles with Canadian data hosting

Transparent funds distribution โ€” every dollar is tracked and reported openly so communities can see exactly where money flows

Accessible for all โ€” the platform is designed to work for youth in communities with limited tech access, which is why posting by text is central to how it works

Indigenous governance โ€” an all-Indigenous advisory board holds veto authority over decisions that affect communities

We will not move faster than trust allows. Which is exactly why we're asking now โ€” before the platform scales, before the funding is secured, before the decisions are already made.

Why now?

Because the earlier you're in, the more influence you have.

The organizations and Nations who join the Leadership Circle now will shape what BRIDGE becomes โ€” not just use what someone else built. That is a fundamentally different kind of relationship, and it's the only kind we're interested in.

Indigenous communities have been consulted after the fact for too long. BRIDGE is being built the other way around.

Who we're looking for

We welcome interest from Indigenous Nations, urban Indigenous organizations, friendship centres, health authorities, education institutions, and any organization that works directly with Indigenous youth and communities.

If you have been looking for a way to participate meaningfully in reconciliation technology โ€” not as a token endorsement but as a genuine partner with a seat at the table โ€” this is that invitation.

Reach out to us directly via text at (250) 999-1745 or visit bridgeimpact.ai to learn more.

If your organization is interested in writing a letter of support or exploring pilot partnership, we will set up a conversation, answer your questions, and make sure this is the right fit before any commitment is made.

There is no pressure and no rush. But there is a window โ€” and we'd love to have you in it.

BRIDGE is built by Remarkable Communications, a national Indigenous-centred digital storytelling, strategy, and technology agency. We are guided by and accountable to an all-Indigenous advisory board.
